“Anica is a fun and very easy little shawl. It is worked sideways with clever shaping which results in long narrow symmetrical tips. Mostly knit in garter stitch with pretty eyelets adorning the one side and picots the other.”

"Along the spine of the most storied of old city Istanbul's revered 7 hills, runs a road that was once the way to rulers, be they Byzantine emperors or Ottoman sultans. The eastern end, today called Divan Yolu, is marked by an ancient column that marks 'Mile 0', the start of the road to Rome, the connection of civilizations. My love for this crossroads, surrounded by the Hagia Sophia, the Hippodrome, and other artifacts of our 'Capital of the World', inspired this shawl. The texture of linen stitch like that of its cobblestones, colors that overlap and blend like the mosaics and the people of so many cultures along its way. Intersecting, yet not dividing. The shawl ends in a rippling curve, like the coastline waves flowing along the timeless Bosphorus nearby.“ Designed by Catherine Salter Bayar
Divan Yolu uses 3 colors of Harvest Fingering. Kit includes pattern 1150 yards (1350 m).
“Koza” means cocoon in Turkish, an accurate description of both the Silk Road inspiration for this colorful wrap garment and the cozy warmth you’ll experience wearing it.
Uneek stripes are combined with Monokrom ombre in a textured herringbone stitch. Either border the wrap with a slip stitch rib along the body and cuffs, or leave it a plain and simple throw-on piece for any weather.
Designed by Catherine Bayar Offers 2 versions in the same pattern. Cuffed Rib (6 skeins) and Uncuffed (4 skeins) Koza uses Monokrom Worsted and Uneek Worsted
Yardage: 880 - 1320 yards (800 - 1200 m)

“The word Mokum, or ‘place’, is Amsterdam’s version of New York’s Big Apple — a nickname indistinguishable from the city it romanticizes.” - Matt Lebovic
Named after the city of Amsterdam's nickname, “Mokum”, a Yiddish word that means “place” or “safe haven”, this cowl is inspired by everyday life in Amsterdam. The rhythmic geometric motifs are pulled from patterns found around the city from the canals to the lively walls of Amsterdam Centraal.
The Mokum Cowl sits cozily next to your face and is designed with double-stranded colorwork to block out the unforgiving wind on that chilly bike ride home.
This shawl consists of the same structural elements asLotus; but those are arranged differently, and color changes in different places.
You will need:
- fingering-weight yarn in four colors: two 100g (400m) skeins for the main part (colors A and B), and two 50g (200m) skeins for the edges (colors C and D). You will also need 4mm (size 6) circular needles.
Gauge and size:
Pre-blocked, the shawl measures 160cm at the top, and drops 76cm in height. The gauge should be approx. 20sts by 28 rows in 10cm.
Like crocheted origami, this hexagon-based cardigan starts under the arm and wraps around the body, two identical pieces joined in back. The sleeves extend from one of the six sides and the front and hem are lengthened, all worked in the same classic stitch.
